Background
Thomas came to recruitment the long way round. He spent five years working in accounting himself in the UK, doing bookkeeping, VAT, tax returns and credit control, and completed his AAT along the way. He saw first hand what a well-run accounting function actually does for a business.
He moved across into accounting recruitment nine years ago and started Oakdene in 2019.

At Oakdene
Thomas works exclusively with CPA firms in Florida and supports them on senior hires within Tax and Audit.

Outside of work
Ultrarunning, mostly. He took it up in 2024 and it escalated quickly. He enjoys the mental challenge of pushing through discomfort and finding out where his limit is, and he takes that same mindset into everything he does at work. He has a dream of one day running the Western States in the USA.
